Before coming in for your audition, please fill out the below audition form. If you do not have a printer, the form will be available at auditions. Please include a headshot if you have one.

PERFORMANCE DATES

Performances will run from January 23rd to February 8th. Performances will take place from Friday to Sunday during this time. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 3:00 PM.

TECH REHEARSAL

Tech rehearsal will take place from January 17th to January 22nd. Please note that tech rehearsal is mandatory for all actors.

Actors will be provided sides from the play to read during auditions. Sides are accessible above.

CALLBACKS

If needed will be held on Wednesday, November 12th. Please note that callbacks are by invitation.

  • A storyteller delivering a book talk about his family. He works the audience, keeping things jovial and sentimental.

    Richard doesn’t see the other people onstage, primarily his ancestors:

    Presenting age range: 50s

  • Richard’s father and the subject of his story. A leading man. Nickname Joziu [YO-zhu].

    Presenting age range: 35-41

  • [MAH-nia] Joseph’s eldest sister, has a sardonic side. Also plays INTERPRETER and IRIS

    Presenting age range: Late 40s

  • [KLAH-ra] The middle sister, religious. Doubles as FELICJA [Fe-LEE-tzee-uh] (late twenties) posh.

    Presenting age range: early 40s

  • The youngest of Joseph’s older sisters; dramatic, romantic. Doubles as VITA [VEE-tuh] (29) a warm American in love.

    Presenting age range: Late 30s

  • [BEAR-tuh] Family matriarch. Doubles as MISS BLAUSTEIN (sixties) a survivor.

  • [GEHN-kuh] Klara’s eldest daughter, a moody teenager. Doubles as ARNOLD (14).
