Young Frankenstein is a hilarious musical comedy that brings Mel Brooks' classic film to the stage. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, inherits his infamous grandfather’s castle in Transylvania. Despite his initial reluctance, Frederick gets pulled into the family business of reanimating the dead, leading to hilarious antics with the help of his quirky assistants, Igor and Inga, and the mysterious housekeeper Frau Blücher. With catchy songs and plenty of laughs, this musical is a fun and lively take on the classic horror story.

CALLBACKS WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY, JULY 17TH. CALLBACKS ARE BY INVITATIONS ONLY.
AUDITION INFORMATION
HOW TO AUDITION
To be considered for casting, all individuals must audition in person and/or digitally.
PLEASE NOTE: We ask that you be available for callbacks if selected.
We are currently seeking actors ages 18+ due to some of the content material containing sexual themes and references as well as graphic language within the script.
AUDITION TIMES
Auditions will be held by appointment in groups of 10 people in 90 minute time slots. Please be sure you have signed up properly prior to the audition date. Music & Dance Auditions will be held from 6:00-10:30 pm on Monday, July 14th and Tuesday, July 15th. Vocal auditions will be followed by dance auditions. Please use the link below to sign up.

PERFORMANCE DATES
Performances will be October 10TH - 26TH. Performances will take place from Friday to Sunday. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 3:00 PM
TECH REHEARSAL
Tech rehearsal will take place from October 4th to 9th. Please note that tech rehearsal is mandatory for all actors.

AUDITION PREPARATION
WHAT TO BRING WITH TO AUDITIONS
All actors should have their conflicts prepared to present at the time of auditions. Please bring a resume and headshot with you. For the dance portion, dress comfortably and wear shoes you can dance in.
MUSIC AUDITIONS
All music auditions will be held individually. Please prepare to sing from the audition cuts provided for EACH character you are interested in. If only interested in ensemble or minor role, note that specific music will be available.
Please bring a copy of the sheet music, if needed.
The sheet music and accompaniment tracks provided below are the same cuts that will be used during your audition time.
DANCE AUDITIONS
After concluding the music audition each audition group will then gather in the rehearsal room for the dance audition. Please come prepared to move. Dance/character shoes suggested, but not necessary.
If auditioning for a tap role, please submit a digital tap audition to production@paplayhouse.org by Tuesday, July 15th at 5 PM. Tap auditions will not take place in person. Please find the recorded tap combo in the link below.
Please no open toed shoes/sandals or bare feet during the dance audition. We want to try our best to maintain the safety of all of people auditioning as much as possible.
DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS
Please note that we will be accepting video auditions. Submissions are due no later than Sunday July 13th at 7:00 PM so our creative team is able to view your tape in a timely manner.
All auditioning with video submissions must be able to be at callbacks in person on July 17th unless cleared with the production crew.
For your tape: we ask you please slate in the beginning of your tape (state your name and which character you will be auditioning for). You may use the accompaniment tracks provided for your music auditions. The dance combination video link will be provided under the dance section.
